Teater Joker in Hamedan

Baron Von Munchhausen is a great storyteller and adventurer. He´s also a bit of a braggart. Among his feats are pulling himself up from a swamp by his own hair, chasing off 400 hungry wolves, and escaping war by jumping onto a flying cannonball.  The Baron's burlesque boasts and bravado are virtually custom-made for Teater Joker´s universe, which is centred on playful humans and children's imagination. On a limited barren stage the company uses its signature form, band mime, to unfold the Baron´s adventures, using only their bodies and voices. The Baron travels to the moon, Russia, Turkey, and always by incredible means. Join us on a fantastic journey into the magical world of the Baron Suitable for children from 8 years old.

Teater Joker is a Norwegian theatre company that has been making theatre for children and teenagers for over 20 years, and has become widely known for writing new plays, or dramatizing books or fables for this age range. The company is also known for its signature form, cartoon mime, which has been used in a number of their shows. The Mad Adventures of Baron Von Munchhaussen which will be staged in Hamedan is one of them. All of Teater Joker´s shows have toured extensively in Norway, and have been invited to international festivals. In October 2004 Teater Joker visited Iran with the show Hando Kjendo. In April 2012 the company will be visiting China.
