Norwegian statement in the Human Rights Council

In a statement in the Human Rights Council March 15 the Norwegian Ambassador Bente Angell-Hansen said that Norway is deeply concerned about the ongoing, systematic and serious restrictions of freedom of peaceful assembly and association and freedom of opinion and expression in Iran.
In the statement she also focused on the situation of human rights defenders, the situation for religious minorities and the practice of execution of juvenile offenders in Iran. She said that Norway is deeply concerned about the lack of willingness to cooperate with the special procedures of the Human Rights Council demonstrated by Iran.
