It has to be proven that you have got an offer of employment in Norway.
The time required to process such an application may be several months.
The applicants may not enter Norway during the period in which the application for a work permit is under consideration.
How to apply for a workpermit to Norway?
We are pleased to announce that you may now make an online application and book appointment if you want to apply for a work permit to Norway. Please register your online application and book appointment at the Application Portal Norway: https://selfservice.udi.no After you have submitted the online application, booked your appointment and provided all the supporting documents, we will be pleased to welcome you to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tehran to submit the necessary supporting documents, pay the fee and provide biometric data. The Embassy requires personal appearance when submitting the application.
Which supporting documents must be provided?
2 copies of passport, pages 2-40. Must not be retouched/Bedoone rootoosh!
2 copies of Shenasname, with its official translation authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iran
2 recent passport size photographs
A form, "Offer of Employment", duly completed and signed by your future employer in Norway
Separate applications must be completed (in duplicate) for each family member:
Spouse:
2 - two - recent passport size photographs
Marriage certificate with its official translation authenticated by the Ministry of Foregin Affairs in Iran
Child:
2 - two - recent passport size photographs (write the name of the child on the back of the photographs)
Birth certificate stating both the child’s and the parents’ names
After the details in your application has been checked and all necessary documentation has been enclosed, your application will be forwarded to The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, where – pending on each individual case it may take several months to be processed.
When a decision has been reached, you will be notified in writing by the Embassy.
According to the Norwegian Immigration Regulations applicants MAY NOT enter Norway during the processing period.
A fee must be paid when applying for a work or residence permit. The fee is 1.850.000 IRR. The fee cannot be paid after applying.
The fee must be paid both by persons applying for a first-time work permit/residence permit, and for those applying for a renewal of such permit.
The following groups are exempted from paying the fee:
- Children below the age of 18
- Applications from persons included in the EEA-agreement or EFTA-convention
The fee must be paid in cash to the Embassy. It is not refundable even though the application should be rejected.
The following documents are needed for work permits to be issued:

Original passport valid for at least one year

One 3*4 color picture with white background facing front.

Original one way ticket+its copy

Receipt of the money paid before

For non Iranian applicants, a valid Iranian visa issued in their passport showing they’ve entered Iran legaly.
* It is acceptable that the following doucments are not submitted to the embassy by the passport holder except for Non Iranians(they should come in person).
When the passport is to be picked up from the embassy, either the passport holder should come in person, or the person who is coming to pick up the documents should have the passport holder’s birth certificate(Shenasnameh) with the receipt.
